SiLA offers four types of membership classes for interested Organisations: Core Members, Supporting Members, Implementation Partner Members or Observing Members.

Observing Membership

Obligations:

• Contribute dues of EUR 600.- (limited to 1 calendar year duration)

Privileges:

• Participation in SiLA member meetings
• Receive one released SiLA standard of choice
• Receive member information and specific documents for publication to observing members

Implementation Partner Membership

Obligations:

• Contribute dues of EUR 7’000.- (for corporations with 2008 revenues exceeding EUR 50 Million) or EUR 3’500.- (for corporations with 2008 revenues of EUR 50 Million or less) per calendar year
• Upon request, the Supporting Member may make available the necessary devices, programs and people to participate in a pilot trial of the standards.

Privileges:

• Representation in the General Assembly.
• Eligibility to participate in SiLA technical trainings at special discounts and to qualify for certification (SiLA Accredited Implementation Partner / SiLA Certified Engineer).
• Eligibility to use the SiLA implementation partner label and the SiLA compliance labels on the Implementation Partner’s products which passed the SiLA compliance tests.
• Early access to information regarding the proposed standards.

Supporting Membership

Obligations:

• Contribute dues of EUR 7’000.- per calendar year
• If desired, provide skilled resources to participate in technical activities and support the development of the standards.
• Upon request, the Supporting Member may make available the necessary devices, programs and people to participate in a pilot trial of the standards.

Privileges:

• Eligibility to serve as a SiLA officer and/or director.
• Eligibility to participate in technical activities.
• Representation in the General Assembly.
• Eligibility to participate in general ballots. Each Core Member’s vote counts as ½ vote in all ballots.
• Early access to information regarding the proposed standards.

Corporations with total annual revenues exceeding EUR 50 Million are eligible only for Core Membership. Corporations with total annual revenues of EUR 50 Million or less are eligible for Supporting Membership or for Core Membership, at their election.

Core Membership

Obligations:

• Contribute dues of EUR 14’000.- per calendar year
• Provide skilled resources to participate in technical activities and support the development of the standards.
• It is expected that, upon request, the Core Member make available the necessary devices, programs and people to participate in a pilot trial of the standards

Privileges:

• Eligibility to serve as a SiLA officer and/or director.
• Eligibility to participate in technical activities.
• Representation in the General Assembly.
• Eligibility to participate in general ballots. Each Core Member’s vote counts as 1 whole vote in all ballots.
• Early access to information regarding the proposed standards.

Since 01.01.2011 all new members joining SiLA are asked for a one-time entry fee in the amount of the annual membership fee of their choice (except for observing members).
